A. Mallyon reported that his mount may not have handled today’s firm surface and was of the opinion that the mare may have come to the end of its preparation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near hind leg. Trainer L. Kelly was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
