He advised that the gelding performed disappointingly at its most recent start and for that reason it was spelled immediately following that event. He added that prior to this, the geldings form, in his opinion, was strong and therefore after returning from a spell, the stable was expecting a forward showing in today’s event. Stewards noted the explanation.
