Rider questioned re disappointing performance - stated the gelding raced strongly in the early and middle stages however, when asked to improve leaving the 500m failed to respond and proved disappointing. Trainer was of the opinion that the gelding failed to handle today’s soft track conditions. Vetted - no abnormalities.
