When questioned as to the disappointing performance trainer M. Wilson noted that the gelding was 3 weeks between runs and was stepping up to 1800m. Mr Wilson was of the view that the gelding did not appreciate today’s firm track conditions. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
