When asked to comment on the performance, Jockey D Griffin stated that he was obliged to ride the gelding along from the 1000m onwards to maintain his position towards the back of the field. Jockey Griffin added that whilst he was able to improve into the race passing the 600m, the gelding failed to finish the race off as expected and was somewhat disappointing today.
