Questioned as to tactics and overall performance - rider stated intention to take up forward position but was unable to due to early speed in race. Passing 1400m commenced to overrace when tempo slowed forced to shift out and raced wide from that point onwards. Near 500m had to be steadied when tightened for room. Bearing in mind circumstances was not overly dissapointed with performance.
