When questioned as to the performance, Jockey M Cahill stated that he was obliged to pressure the mare from the 800m at which point it failed to improve into the race as expected. Jockey Cahill added that the mare commenced to respond to his riding upon straightening and finished the race off well and in his opinion would be better suited over further distances. Trainer D Forster reported that she would now consider adding blinkers or winkers on the mare at its next race start, where she would most likely step the mare up to a mile.

Jockey T Harrison was at a loss to explain today’s performance. Trainer reported horse pulled up well following the run and was at a loos to explain the disappointing performance. Advised that he would monitor horse's work before finalising immediate racing program. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any apparent abnormalities at the time of examination.
