Steadied when tightened for room shortly after the start and then failed to muster speed despite the efforts of its rider and took no competitive part in the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be slightly sore over the rump. Trainer T Gollan subsequently reported that the filly underwent a further veterinary examination including an endoscopic examination upon returning to his stables which failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer T Gollan was advised that the horse must trial to the satisfaction of Stewards prior to its next race start.
