Near 400m steadied when crowded to the inside of PUDMARDELS which shifted in slightly. Rider qstd performance. Explained horse showed good gate speed, able to take up forward position. Passing 600m commenced to lose ground despite efforts to maintain position. Near 400m when weakening, eased as not handling track conditions. Vet exam – no abs. Tnr G Flack disappointed. Noted despite gelding showing some wet track form his view failed to handle heavy 10 track. His intention to not start on similar track conditions.
