Rider questioned re performance - stated instructions were to obtain a position on speed. After beginning only fairly obliged to ride mare vigorously early stages to settle outside the leader. Added when placed under pressure leaving 500m failed to quicken as expected however, still managed to finish the race off reasonably well, bearing in mind that it was up in weight and class today.
