Hampered when racing in restricted room shortly after the start. Passing the 700m clipped heels and blundered almost dislodging its rider. From that point on was uncompetitive and was retired from the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near hind leg. A veterinary certificate of fitness will be required before the geldings next race start.
