Trainer questioned re improved performance - explained mare disappointing in last campaign where it only had three runs before being turned out for a spell. This time in had trained on well at previous start, which was first up, was not disappointing noting mare only beaten three lengths on firm track. Added that second up today mare was fitter from previous run and with step up in distance, a hot tempo and todays soft track conditions were favourable for a better performance today. Added attributed form improvement to soft track conditions.
