Jockey stated travelled well after having a favourable run throughout, however, when approaching the home turn and racing tight to the inside of another runner, felt it resented racing in this position. Recommended the addition of blinkers. Indicated gelding would be better suited when able to improve to outside of runners wider on track. Post-race vet exam failed to reveal any abnormalities. Swab sample taken. Trainer L Kelly stated disappointing performance may have been firm track conditions and would be sent for immediate spell.
