Jockey R. Maloney advised that he desisted from riding his mount out over the final 100m as he was of the opinion that it felt awkward in its action. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off fore knee. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance and radiographs of the right fore carpus prior to returning to racing.
