Inconvenienced near the 900m. When asked to comment on the horse's performance apprentice M. McGillivray stated that the gelding commenced to weaken and lose ground from the 800m and proved disappointing. He added that this could be attributed to today's firm track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings other than that the gelding had lost the near fore plate in running.
