Rider questioned re tactics adopted - stated not her intention to lead today however, drawing an inside barrier and beginning well obtained the lead without being placed under any pressure. Trainer advised the only instructions issued were to have horse where racing comfortable however, not specifically to lead. Stewards noted explanations.

Hung out middle stages and raced ungenerously. Rider explanation re performance - reported in her opinion the gelding was not comfortable on today's firm surface and as a result was reluctant to stretch out when placed under pressure. Added in her opinion gelding was disappointing. Trainer expressed disappointment in performance today and advised further tests would be conducted back at his stable and report any findings to stewards. Trainer added he may experiment with gear changes prior to gelding's next start. Vetted - no abnormalities.
