Lloyd reported that from the jump the filly, which he expected to race in a forward position, failed to travel at any stage and despite his efforts to improve, trailed the field throughout the event and tailed off in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Trainer J. Meagher’s representative, Mr A. Kermond, advised that in light of the performance today, the stable will barrier trial the filly prior to next racing.
