Stewards sought an explanation from J. Lloyd regarding the riding tactics he adopted in the early stages and whether an opportunity existed to race outside of the eventual winner ENTERPRISE MISS. Jockey Lloyd stated that he was instructed to ride the horse with cover and get it to settle in the early stages as it raced well when ridden this way at its most previous start. He added that he was satisfied to be trailing ENTERPRISE MISS approaching the home turn, however when ENTERPRISE MISS sprinted he was left flat-footed and shifted to the inside in the home straight and made steady ground.
