Began awkwardly. When asked to explain the horse’s disappointing performance, rider T. Harrison stated that the mare travelled well in the lead, however when placed under pressure passing the 500m, failed to respond to her riding and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have cardiac arrhythmia. Trainer K. Schweida was advised that DANSEZ must trial satisfactorily and he must produce a veterinary clearance, including the results of an ECG, prior to the mare being permitted to race again.
