Steward Comment

Slow to begin. Bumped approaching the 300m. Approaching the 200m shifted in to obtain clear running. Nearing the winning post laid out and bumped the hind quarters of RED BLOOM, which turned that runner inwards. After riding in this race was jockey R. Plumb was examined by Queensland Ambulance personnel and stood down from his remaining engagements. Riding changes were made as per the Stewards Summary Sheet.

Steward Comment

Approaching the 200m was heavily bumped by REUS, which caused it to become unbalanced, almost dislodging its rider. Jockey R. Plumb, rider of REUS, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that approaching the 200m he made insufficient effort to prevent his mount shifting in, making heavy contact with MOA’S GIRL, which became unbalanced, striking the running rail and almost dislodging its rider. Jockey Plumb was suspended from riding in races for a period of 11 days, to commence at midnight, 7 September and to expire at midnight, 18 September 2019.
