Near the 1000 metres HARLEQUIN FIELD and DUSTY DIAMOND were both checked to the inside of TE JINA ROSE, which when racing greenly, laid in despite the efforts of its rider and was taken in by AHRI’S AMORE which raced in restricted room when taken in by VIOLATION before that runner was corrected by its rider. R Maloney, rider of VIOLATION, was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.

The saddle on the gelding required re-adjustment on arrival behind the barriers. Unbalanced on jumping away. A post-race veterinary examination of AHRI’S AMORE revealed a minor laceration to the offside hock. Lost near fore plate in running.

Raced three wide without cover. Near the 400 metres checked when racing between HARLEQUIN FIELD which shifted out after becoming awkwardly place at the heels of TE JINEA ROSE and LEADBURN NICCI which was momentarily crowded by KUKINTA and taken slightly. Stumbled on pulling up, dislodging rider B Ainsworth who was examined by QAS staff and cleared of any injury. A post-race veterinary examination of JENNEFICIAL revealed no abnormalities.
