Jockey reported that in the early stages of the home straight the gelding felt uncomfortable in its action and for that reason he only placed it under limited pressure at that stage of the race. Jockey went on to say that when placed under pressure for the remainder of the home straight the gelding ran on only fairly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
