Compounded down the running. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare to have bled from both nostrils. Trainer told stewards that it is now his intention to retire the mare from racing. Nevertheless, he was advised that should connections have a change of heart, the mare would not be permitted to race for 3 months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of 1000 metres in the presence of a Steward.
