Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. Passing the 1000m elected to shift out and race three wide while racing ungenerously. Ran off rounding the home turn. Apprentice J Cornish reported that her mount hung out rounding the home turn. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg. Trainer J Wallace was advised that a veterinary clearance would be required prior to accepting for a future race start.
