Underwent a prerace veterinary examination and was passed fit to start. When questioned regarding the performance of the mare, Apprentice Peel stated that passing the 1200m her mount changed strides on a number of occasions and lost significant ground when being restrained. She added that in her opinion DIVENIRE may have resented the kick back and may not have appreciated the poly surface.

Stood flat footed as the start was effected and was slow to begin. Overraced in the early and middle stages of the event. After racing wide in the early stages was allowed to stride and take up a forward position near the 1000m. When questioned regarding tactics adopted in todays event, Jockey Collett stated that after being slow to begin, her mount commenced to race ungenerously with the addition of blinkers and as such she allowed her mount to stride forward in an attempt to settle.
