Colless reported he had been instructed to ride his mount with cover and that the horse travelled well until the 500m when he was required to steady the gelding to avoid the heels of TIBURON which shifted out. He further added that from this point the horse did not respond to his riding until the final 100m and was doing its best work over the concluding stages.
