Overraced in the lead throughout the race, and hung out rounding the home turn. Trainer M. Mair indicated he would now consider the horse’s racing future. Stewards advised Mr Mair that should the horse continue this preparation he would be required to trial the horse to the stewards’ satisfaction.

Raced 3 wide throughout. Inquiry re tactics adopted, in particular in the early stages when jockey Powell appeared to have opportunity to continue forward when wide and take a position closer to the fence. He said he attempted to steady thinking his mount would not be able to persist forward to lead, and would be more likely to position closer to the fence at the tail of the field, however he was caught 3 wide, but with hindsight agreed it may have been a better option to go forward. Stewards advised him whilst they felt he erred, they felt it was not unreasonable in the circumstances.
