Steward Comment

Blundered near the 700m. Jockey G. Colless reported that his mount overraced after passing the 800m and weakened over the final 300m and proved disappointing. Trainer N. McCall confirmed her disappointment in the performance and indicated to stewards that the horse would now be sent for a spell.

Steward Comment

Prior to correct weight, stewards reviewed the film to ascertain if MIA MAGIC had been denied a fair start. Stewards were satisfied it was afforded a fair start and correct weight was given. Trainer B. Brown was advised that he must obtain a further barrier certificate for the mare prior to its next race start. Jumped away very awkwardly and shifted out towards the outside fence, dislodging its rider and made heavy contact with the outside fence. Vetted and found to have multiple abrasions of the off foreleg, and large fluid swelling on the top of its near-side knee.
