Bumped by another runner and forced wider near the 400m. The veterinary surgeon reported that the gelding was lame in the off foreleg. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance and must compete in an official barrier trial prior to its next start.

Finished a distant last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer T. Thomas indicated that he would monitor the horse’s post-race recovery and the give consideration to its immediate racing future. Stewards advised Mr Thomas that should he continue with the horse’s current preparation, consideration may be given to the horse being restricted to non-TAB venues.
