Inquiry re improved performance. Trainer R. Cameron said at the horse’s first start this preparation he was pleased with its performance, but was held up over the final stages. He said in a quality race at its most recent start it performed satisfactorily, but weakened at the finish, and after this he elected to experiment with a tongue-tie, and was of the view that this may have been beneficial for the horse’s finishing effort. Apprentice A. Denby was fined $100 for using her whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
