Jumped awkwardly and was tightened for room and lost ground. Trailed the field throughout and finished a distant last. Trainer S. Kendrick confirmed his disappointment in the performance and was accepting of the fact that the horse was not entirely suited to the distance, however was concerned that the horse could not muster any early speed and stay in touch with the main body of the field. He indicated that he would have veterinary tests performed in the coming days, the results of which he would report to stewards. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
