M. Cahill dropped his whip at the 400m. M. Cahill was asked to comment on the positioning of the horse and its performance. He indicated that he would have liked to have been positioned closer to the lead, however despite riding aggressively in the early stages he was crossed by other runners quite early in the event and was obliged to settle in the second half of the field. He added that he would have liked to improve from the 600m, however was unable to do so.
