After improving into a tight run inside CAILINI, was restrained from heels near the 600m and lost ground. From that point onwards was held up and unable to improve and had to be restrained on a number of occasions until passing the 150m, and was then obliged to alter course again near the 100m to obtain clear running. Stewards questioned jockey B. Stewart regarding his riding from the 600m. He indicated, with hindsight, he would have remained further to the outside, which would have afforded his mount clear running earlier in the home straight.
