Reared as the start was effected and struck its head heavily on the cross-bar of the barriers and then took no competitive part in the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed a fracture to the forehead and bruising to the off-side shoulder. Trainer G. Duncan was advised that a barrier certificate and veterinary certificate must be obtained prior to the horse’s next race start.
