Raced wide. Stewards questioned trainer J. Aitkenhead regarding the improved performance. She indicated that prior to last start the horse had been racing well, however at its most recent start the mare settled in a more forward position and overraced badly in the early and middle stages and had to be steadied from heels, as documented in the Stewards Report. She added that, in her opinion, the horse did not handle the tight turning Gatton track last start, and she had expected a forward showing in today’s event.
