He indicated in the circumstances he was very happy with the filly’s effort as he was obliged to settle 3 wide and then after passing the 600m was bumped by another runner and forced wider, causing him to race 4 wide approaching the home turn. He felt that this had cost his mount valuable ground and then when placed under pressure in the home straight, the horse, in his view, responded well and was doing its best work over the concluding stages.
