When questioned in relation to the tactics employed on the gelding, Jockey stated that in his experience the horse has proven difficult to ride when attempts have been made to restrain it. As a result he elected to allow the horse to stride forward and take up a position where it was comfortable. He added that his mount then failed to finish off the race.
