Sweeney reported that after being caught wide in the early stages she elected to restrain her mount to a position one off the fence near the 900m, however from this point to a point near the 600m her mount was off the bit and lost ground. She added that the gelding began to travel strongly near the 600m, and ran home well over the concluding stages.
