Stood flat footed at the start and lost ground. On returning to scale, jockey K. Yoshida reported that he felt the colt may have choked down during the event, and therefore recommended to connections the addition of a tongue tie to its gear prior to its next start.

A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had bled from both nostrils following the event. As this is the second occasion on which the horse has bled from both nostrils, Trainer M. Hemmings was advised that the horse will now incur a lifetime bar from racing under AR53A(5).
