Began awkwardly, lost ground and as a result settled further back in the field than anticipated. When questioned as to the horse’s seemingly disappointing performance, J. Lloyd advised that the horse is best suited when able to lead in its races or when racing to the outside of other runners and for that reason, in his opinion, the horse missing the start and being forced to obtain inside runs in the home straight were the major contributing factors to the horse’s poor performance today. Stewards noted the explanation.
