Connections advised that it would be the intention for the gelding to be ridden towards the rear of the field today if circumstances permit. The gelding was restrained from the wide barrier and ridden accordingly. Commenced to overrace when settling towards the rear of the field in the middle stages. Raced 3 wide with cover after passing the 800m.

After being bumped by GRATSIE passing the 1200m, commenced to overrace and was allowed to stride forward to obtain a position outside the leader passing the 1100m. After racing in a forward position, commenced to weaken after passing the 400m and finished a distant last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had bled from both nostrils. As this was the second occasion on which the horse has bled it will now incur a lifetime bar from racing.
