When questioned regarding the horse’s performance, R. Plumb stated that he was instructed to lead but was unable to do so and he was obliged to race wide without cover throughout. He added that the horse commenced to weaken leaving the 400m and was disappointing. He indicated that the stable would look to step the horse up in distance and add blinkers at its next start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
