Approaching the first turn near the 900 metres commenced to buck and lost considerable ground resulting in another runner which was following having to shift out abruptly and crowd the runner to its outside. A short distance later again began to buck losing further ground and took no competitive part in the race. Trainer was told that prior to racing again the gelding will have to perform satisfactorily in a trial.
