When questioned regarding the improved performance of the gelding Trainer said that the only explanation he could offer was that after the gelding's most recent run it had undergone dental treatment and the extraction of a tooth. He said that the gelding had benefited from the administration of that dental treatment. Trainer was reminded of his obligation to notify stewards of any occurrence that may affect a horse's performance.

Began awkwardly. After being crossed near the 800 metres commenced to over-race and hung out. When placed under pressure in the straight, shifted out abruptly and crowded its outside runners resulting in both of those runners being forced wider. Trainer was told that a warning will be placed on the gelding.
