Raced three wide without cover throughout. Stewards questioned apprentice T. Brooker regarding her riding in the early stages as to whether there was an opportunity to obtain cover rather than racing three wide outside the leaders. Ms Brooker stated that at a point near the 1000m she was of the view that jockey Byrne (ROCK ‘N’ SUMMER) was likely to improve forward to the outright lied, which would have allowed her the opportunity to improve forward and settle outside that runner, however as this did not eventuate she was then left racing in a three-wide position.
