Apprentice Marshall explained that he was instructed to settle the horse more forward today than at its most recent start and after beginning well he rode forward to settle outside the leader PATRONIZING and DENARIUS then commenced to overrace and despite his efforts could not be restrained and for this reason led the field by a considerable margin in the middle stages. Stewards accepted his explanation.
