L. Cassidy explained that after being a little slow to begin he rode aggressively to cross the main body of the field and when he eventually raced outside the leader CEOL NA MARA the horse never travelled comfortably and when placed under pressure prior to the home turn failed to respond to his riding and weakened in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Connections confirmed that the horse would be sent for a spell.
