Slow to begin. When asked to comment on the performance, apprentice T. Fenlon stated that as the horse was coming back in distance, the pace was fast in the early stages and as such the gelding was unable to muster sufficient early speed and she was obliged to ride vigorously until near the 1200m in order to remain at the tail of the field. Apprentice T. Fenlon further added that TONY BE would appreciate being stepped back up in distance as the gelding was doing its best work over the concluding stages.

Over raced passing the 1300m and had to be restrained from the heels of DIACO approaching the 1200m. Shifted out to improve from the 800m and raced wide from that point.

Connections advised it will be the intention for the horse to be ridden further back if circumstances permit. However was unable to be restrained to obtain cover in the early stages and as a result race 3 wide without cover. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery.
