Questioned re tactics - failing to push forward and settle one off outside RAINBOW MAGIC. Rider stated had won last 2 starts ridden towards rear of field. After beginning well considered pushing forward but was concerned with genuine speed in early stages. Elected to restraine to obtain cover but was unable to do so due to runners racing inside of him and was caught 3 wide without cover for the majority. Added that RAINBOW MAGIC never crossed to the fence so had he pushed forward he still owuld have been caught 3 wide.
