Rider questioned re tactics adopted - stated specifically instructed to settle outside leader as gelding shown a tendency to overrace when ridden with cover previously. Added after being slow to begin obliged to ride along to comply with instructions however, under pressure passing 800m and compounded. Vetted - no abs. Follow up with trainer recovery post race and stable’s intentions going forward. Approaching 500m steadied when placed in restricted room between runners.
